After I register the land, how do I actually get my name into the record — mutation in Guntur?

Registered a small agricultural parcel near Guntur last month, sale deed is done. But the seller's name is still showing in the record I pulled. Someone said the registration and the name transfer are two separate things. What's the step to get my name in, and where?

They are separate. Registration is the deed at the sub-registrar; getting your name onto the land record (mutation) is a follow-on. For AP agri land you go through Meebhoomi / the tahsildar's office with your registered deed and apply for the transfer of the adangal/1-B into your name. Carry the registered document copy and the older ROR. Follow up — it doesn't always move on its own.

Same experience here. Took a couple of visits to the MRO office before it reflected. Keep the acknowledgement they give you.

And check the extent in the record matches your deed once it updates. Mismatch at this stage is easier to fix than later.
