Looking at weekend farmhouse land in the Moinabad area. Heard some vague talk about catchment area restrictions near Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar affecting what you can actually build. Not sure how seriously to take it or how to check before committing to anything.
Take it seriously, don't dismiss it as vague talk. Check the catchment and buffer restriction status directly with the irrigation department and GHMC for the specific parcel before assuming it's buildable the way brochures for that belt tend to imply.
Will do that before going any further, appreciate the push to actually verify rather than just go by what the broker says.
A friend of mine got stuck exactly at the building permission stage for this reason, land was bought fine but construction sanction ran into trouble later. Better to check upfront than find out after you've already paid.
