Looking at a small commercial complex, ground plus two, still under construction. Sales office has a RERA number painted on their brochure but I want to check it myself rather than trust the pamphlet.
Go to rera.telangana.gov.in, there's a registered projects list - search by promoter name or the reg number on the brochure, check it actually matches, confirm it says registered and not just applied, check the validity date, and see whether the sanctioned plans and declared completion date uploaded there line up with what the sales office is telling you verbally.
Even a valid registration doesn't guarantee they finish on time though, it just makes the promise enforceable and public. Still go see the actual construction stage yourself.
Good point, we found one project once where the RERA listing showed the completion date already passed and it was still half built. Raised it with the RERA office before signing anything further.
