Sale deed was registered almost a year back but when my cousin checked the record recently it still doesn't show my name properly. Is there something I was supposed to file separately? I assumed registration handles everything.
Registration and mutation are different steps. In Telangana the land record side moved to Bhu Bharati (it replaced Dharani in 2025), and for many registered sales the mutation is meant to flow through, but it doesn't always complete cleanly. Pull your ROR-1B on Bhu Bharati and see whose name is against the survey number. If it's still the seller, raise the mutation/correction through the portal with your registered deed.
Worth doing sooner rather than later — chasing it after the seller has moved on is painful.
Also confirm your pattadar passbook got updated, not just the record on screen.
