Broker keeps saying the commercial building is RERA approved but hasn't shown me any registration number yet, just verbal assurance. Before I take this seriously I want to check it myself. Where exactly do I look and what should match up?
Go to rera.telangana.gov.in and search the registered projects list, don't just trust a number he gives you verbally, search it yourself and check the promoter name matches exactly.
Also check the validity date on the registration and whether the uploaded plans match what's actually built, projects can be registered but still behind on the declared completion date.
Worth remembering registered just means the promise is enforceable and public, doesn't guarantee he'll deliver on time. Still better than nothing though.
