Budgeting registration cost for an open plot near Mahbubnagar - everyone quotes a different number

Two brokers, one relative who registered last year, three different figures for what I'd end up paying. Would rather work from an actual process than guesswork before I finalize how much cash to keep ready.

Start with the current guideline value for that survey number on the IGRS Telangana site, registration.telangana.gov.in, since stamp duty is charged on the higher of that or your sale value. Confirm the exact rate at the SRO itself rather than going by anyone's memory of what they paid last year.
