there's no fixed "enough" number of years, but tracing back at least a few transactions through the link documents alongside the adangal/1-B on Meebhoomi gives you a much clearer picture than just the latest sale deed.
also pull the EC covering that whole window, it'll show registered transactions across that period in one document rather than you piecing it together deal by deal.
will ask for EC covering the full decade then, that's fair.
