Do I need to do anything separate for mutation after buying agricultural land near Nizamabad?

About to register some agri land near Nizamabad. A relative warned me that just registering isn't enough and the record won't change automatically. Is that right, and what exactly do I need to do afterwards so the land shows in my name?

Your relative is broadly right — treat mutation as its own step even if it's supposed to flow from the registration. In Telangana the record is on Bhu Bharati now (replaced Dharani in 2025). After registration, check the ROR-1B for the survey number and make sure it moved to your name and the pattadar passbook is updated. If it hasn't, raise the correction with your registered deed.

And keep the registration document number handy — you'll need it for any correction request.

Check for any prohibited-land flag on that survey number too while you're at it.
