Same broad steps as any registration - biometric and photo of both parties, deed read out, encumbrance certificate pulled to check nothing's been registered against that survey number since your agreement date. For inherited land make sure every legal heir is actually named as a seller on the deed, a missing heir is a common source of problems later.
Get the heirship/family tree confirmed clearly before you even get to the SRO, saves a lot of last minute back and forth.
