Closing on a showroom unit soon, seller is a small partnership firm rather than an individual. Does the document checklist change at all when the seller side is a firm?
Get the partnership deed, the firm's PAN/GST details, and an authorization letter clearly naming who's allowed to sign for the firm — on top of the usual mother deed, link documents, EC, and property tax receipts.
Confirm all the partners are actually on board with the sale, not just whoever is negotiating with you directly. Disputes among partners can freeze a registration mid-process.
Get that confirmation in writing before you pay any advance, agree with the above.
