Name change on the property record after buying an open plot in Secunderabad — what's the process now?

Closing on an open plot in the Secunderabad area soon. I want to be clear on what happens after registration — how the record actually gets changed to my name, and whether I have to file for it or it happens on its own. Want to avoid loose ends.

For a plot inside municipal limits there are actually two record trails to think about: the land/revenue record (Telangana's Bhu Bharati, which replaced Dharani in 2025) and the property tax record with the local municipal body. After the registered sale deed, get the mutation done on the revenue side and separately get the property tax record transferred to your name — that second one people forget, then it bites at resale. Carry the registered deed for both.

The property tax transfer part is real — I ignored it for a year and it was a headache to sort later.
