How do I actually budget stamp duty for a Tirupati registration instead of guessing from what neighbours paid

Everyone I ask gives me a different number for what they paid in stamp duty and registration a couple years back for their shop, and none of it seems to line up with what I'm being quoted now. I don't want to build my budget around some WhatsApp group figure. Where do I actually pull the current, correct number from before I finalize funds.

It's charged on whichever is higher between what you're actually paying and the government guideline value for that survey number, not on some flat rate someone quotes you casually. Get the current guideline value checked at IGRS AP (registration.ap.gov.in) for the exact plot, and confirm the applicable duty at the SRO itself before you lock your budget — rates and any add-on charges do get revised.

makes sense, will check guideline value on the portal first thing. Does the guideline value show plot-wise or only by locality/street?
