Registering an agricultural land parcel at Tirupati SRO — do I need the pattadar passbook physically present?

Buying a small agricultural parcel from a farmer family outside the town, this is a straightforward land deal, no building involved. Seller mentioned the pattadar passbook a few times like it's central to the day, want to know exactly what role it plays at registration itself versus what I should have double checked before.

passbook and the 1-B/adangal record should already have been checked before you got this far, at the SRO itself the registration goes through the standard document and biometric process, the passbook isn't something you hand over at the counter for the deed to go through.

Confirm the seller's name on the passbook and land record matches exactly what's going on the sale deed, mismatches (spelling, initials) cause delays people don't expect.

will double check spelling matches exactly, thanks.
