What documents beyond the obvious should I be asking for on a land deal near Tirupati?

Have the pattadar passbook copy and a recent EC from the seller already, feels like the basics are covered but I keep seeing people mention "link documents" and "mother deed" like they're separate essentials I might be missing. Trying to understand what those actually add on top of passbook and EC.

mother deed is the origin document the whole chain of ownership traces back to, link documents are the intermediate sale deeds connecting that origin to the current seller, EC alone won't show you if that chain is clean and continuous the way actually reading those documents will.

also worth getting the adangal/1-B fresh rather than relying on an old copy, and if there's ever been any partition among family members get that partition deed too.

going to ask the seller's side for the link documents directly, appreciate this.
